April Langehennig, the Associate Professor and Theatre Director at Howard College, is a seasoned educator with experience teaching students of all ages in K-12 and Higher Education settings. She continues to support the K-12 community as a TTAO-OAP Adjudicator and Theatrical Design Critic Judge. April holds an MFA in Theatre: Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, an MA in Theatre from the University of Houston, and a BA in Theatre from Wayland Baptist University. With over 20 years as a TxETA member, she is currently serving on the Board of Directors as the Higher Education Member-at‐Large. April has held leadership roles in various Texas theatre organizations, such as past President of the Texas Community College Speech & Theatre Association and current Secretary of the TxETA Higher Education Committee. April believes that Texas' educational theatre presents valuable growth opportunities for individuals in acting, directing, design, playwriting, and all technical fields. This development of ingenuity not only benefits students in the theatrical arena, but also provides lifelong interpersonal and marketable skills.
